NMMedicaid
The
federal government set up the medicaid program in 1965 in
order to help individuals and families with low incomes
to afford proper medical treatments. The state of New Mexico
takes part in the medicaid program as well.
Although the medicaid program is a federally funded program,
it is administered and partially funded on the state level.
Cooperation with the medicaid program is voluntary but at
the time of this writing all 50 states take part in the
program, including New Mexico.
* Tip - Keep your medicaid card and any medical records,
including a list of any medications that you are taking
with you at all times. It will help to speed up the registration
process when you go to visit the doctor.
