NCMedicaid
The
state of North Carolina takes part in the federally funded
medicaid program in order to help individuals and families
that are not able to receive the proper medical care because
of being on a low income.
Medicaid was founded by the US government in 1965 in order
to help people who were not able to effort adequate medical
treatment. Although it is a federal program the states are
responsible for administering the funds. Currently one out
of ever eight individuals in the state of North Carolina
take advantage of the medicaid program.
* Tip - Make sure that you discuss your medicaid with your
doctor before they do any procedures that would cost you
money. If they are not willing to participate in the medicaid
program you may need to find another doctor that will.
