MSMedicaid
The
state of Mississippi, in cooperation with the federal government,
takes part in the medicaid program. The medicaid program
is the federal insurance program for low income individuals
and families.
Medicaid was established in 1965 under the social security
act in order to help people who are not able to afford proper
medical care. It has helped many people across the United
States who would not have been able to receive the treatments
that there were able to with the program. Each state is
responsible for administering the medicaid program.
* Tip - Make sure that you never "lend" your
medicaid card to anyone. You not only run the risk of losing
your benefits but you may end up in jail.
