MichiganMedicaid
In
order to help individuals and families with a genuine financial
and medical need, the state of Michigan is participating
in the federally funded medicaid program. It was established
and is administered to help people, such as disabled, elderly
and those with low-incomes to afford proper medical care.
Although the medicaid program is a federal program it is
administered and partially funded on a state level. It was
established in 1965 under the social security act in order
to provide proper medical care for those that could not
afford it. The state of Michigan administers the medicaid
program through the Michigan Department of Community Health.
* Tip - You will be given a medicaid card that is to be
used by you alone. Keep it with you at all times and show
it to the doctor before the performs any procedure that
