The state of Florida, in connection with the federal government has established the medicaid program in order to assist low income families and individuals with their medical expenses. This helps to provide necessary medical treatment to all individuals, regardless of their economic standing.

As with many states in the United States, Florida uses a particular branch of the government to administer the medicaid program. In Florida it is administered through the state of Florida uses the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

* Tip - You will be given a medicaid card for your own use. Do not, under any circumstances, allow anyone else to use your card. You will lose the card and may even go to jail.
