Medicade - Medical Tips

Medicade is a type of health insurance that was created for helping individuals and families with low income and those that would have trouble paying for their medical bills. A lot of people are able to get medical help that wouldn't usually be able to afford it because of this program. It is used by people of all walks of life, including Seniors, parents with low incomes, and disabled individuals.

The program was started under the Social Security Act, and has been in existence since mid 1965. At this time all states in the United States participate in the program but many of them have their own names for Medicare. These would include Medi-Cal (California), TennCare (Tennessee) and MassHealth (Massachusetts). State participation in the program is voluntary.
